Tourism, Religious Sites in Ghaziabad Get Boost With New Projects


A major push has been given to the development of tourism and religious sites in Ghaziabad, with the inauguration and foundation-laying of several projects worth crores of rupees. The initiatives aim to strengthen tourism infrastructure and enhance facilities at key religious destinations in the district.


The event was attended by several public representatives and dignitaries, including Atul Garg, Sanjeev Sharma, Ajitpal Tyagi, Dr Manju Sivach and BJP city president Mayank Goyal.


Projects inaugurated


Among the projects inaugurated were tourism development works at Dudheshwar Nath Temple worth ₹5.52 crore. Development works were also launched at Bhagwan Parshuram Temple with a cost of ₹92.5 lakh and at Sikri Mahamaya Temple worth ₹70.5 lakh.


Foundation laid for new projects


The minister also laid the foundation stone for three new projects aimed at improving facilities at religious sites. These include development work at the Ancient Shiv Temple costing ₹1.13 crore, Chukay Wali Mata Temple worth ₹74.45 lakh, and Shri Hanuman Temple with an estimated cost of ₹94.18 lakh.


Tourism development to boost local economy


Speaking at the event, Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said that the country and the state are witnessing rapid development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.


He said the state government has strengthened several major tourism destinations across Uttar Pradesh, leading to a rise in tourist arrivals.


“Tourism development not only increases the appeal of religious and historical sites but also strengthens the local economy and creates new employment opportunities,” the minister said.


In an interaction with the media, Singh added that the state government is continuously working on new initiatives in the tourism sector to connect religious and historical sites with improved facilities and infrastructure.
